Vintage sheer chiffon rayon bias-cut dress. It turned out to have a very beautiful color and an unusual pattern after being hand-dyed.
The bias cut is a dressmaking technique where fabric is cut at a 45-degree angle to the weave, rather than the straight or cross-grain, to exploit the fabric's natural stretch and fluidity. This diagonal cutting allows the material to drape smoothly and hug the body's curves, resulting in a more flattering and often "slinky" silhouette.
