Antique 1930s Famous Gale Sears Roebuck Co fan-laced corset/corset skirt with two rows of fan lacing. We've given this corset a grunge style makeover, hand-dyed with high quality. The corset was shortened by the previous owner. Soft inserts inside hold the silhouette, metal hooks and elastics at the back. Soft cotton hand-painted in black. There are several variations of how to wear it - as a top, at the waist or lower. You can also wear it on both sides (originally, the lacing was worn on the back), photos on a mannequin from both sides. Made in the USA. It says on the label "you feel the lift at once".
""Famous Gale" was a prominent line of structural support corsets and girdles sold through the Sears, Roebuck & Co. catalogs during the 1930s to 1950s. Known for their "scientific support" and "fan lacing", these vintage undergarments are highly sought after by retro fashion collectors today."
